Our wedding was not the typical American wedding we had a cultural wedding and we had so many requests. …..Any videographer we spoke to refused to do it because it’s not something they would feel comfortable doing.

However , the second I spoke to Nathan, he was very interested in hearing about our love story , what we exactly wanted, he asked about our time line in depth and details, and learned about our culture and embraced it . When we met Ashley and Nathan , you know how amazing of a team they are . They did an amazing job with not only capturing our wedding, but also they kept us calm the whole time when everything was going south and we were running late lol .

The [film] was amazing they got every single detail.. . The video turned out amazing and everyone loved the film. It was difficult at the beginning to explain to any videographer the chronological order of a middle eastern wedding because we did not have the typical ceremony and reception but Nathan and Ashley embraced it and were more than willing to accept any request we wanted . they did an AMAZZZZZIIING JOB . We are very lucky to have worked with them , the end result is amazing !

We hired Nathan & Ashley for our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding and it was the best money ever spent.

They worked so well together as if they could read each other’s minds. They moved around getting shots, even working with our photographvers, but they were never in the way. We were amazed at how relaxed we all were with them being there because they could talk to you without you realizing what they were doing.

Our final production made us laugh, sigh and cry, and laugh some more. It was beautiful! We felt like we were living that incredible day all over again. And it’s wonderful to have such a precious gift to share with our family & friends that could not attend the wedding.

This was the best investment we made for our wedding by far! Nathan and Ashley were amazing. They were so fun to work with. They are upbeat and obviously love what they do. The wedding highlight film was such an awesome keepsake to have. We got it on our honeymoon and it was an amazing experience being able to relive our day through their eyes. The editing and the music were beyond our expectation. I almost forgot that we would receive more footage in the mail. They packaged a customized USB so beautifully and we were able to get excited all over again! I love being able to watch all the important moments from the wedding, especially because everything goes by so fast! I hope to have more special events so we can use them in the future!!!

It is such a great way to remember your big day, and they captured moments that I totally forgot about or even parts I had missed, so it was great looking back on so many amazing moments. It’s also great for family and friends to watch who werent able to be there. I’ve watched my video AT LEAST 50 times already, catching a new memory every time. I know, it’s that good! You know how some people are just meant to be (fill in the blank)? This is Ashley and Nate. They are straight up talented like nothing I’ve ever seen. They take the time to get to know each couple and they take the time to make sure everything is perfect. They became not just vendors but our friends, because they are just awesome people. …these are a few of the words I use to describe Nathan W. Morris (Oak city films) . The professionalism you guys showed during the ENTIRE weekend (both the rehearsal AND wedding) and the calmness you had during what is a stressful event (and saying things to make us laugh) was something friends and family kept raving about. The artistry and dance with your “interactions” with one another to capture shots and not get in each others way, and the ability to work together as if you guys are a team that performs this ALL the time did not go unnoticed. You were able to get shots (as shown in this video) that I didn’t even see you get, and you guys did not obstruct each others views to capture moments in our wedding. If you’re planning on getting married in the Triangle Area in NC, you should definitely hire Nathan and Ashley as your videographers. My twin daughters were both married this summer 6 weeks apart. The first wedding was in Durham, NC on May 23, 2015 and the second wedding was on July 11, 2015 in Charleston, SC. Before meeting with Nathan, we had viewed many wedding videos and had interviewed other videographers. We were very drawn to Oak City’s work and after meeting with Nathan, we felt he was the perfect match for what we were looking for in a videographer. When we met with him, we were only looking for a videographer for the Durham wedding but we were so impressed with him that we booked him for both weddings. Having a videographer was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. I was unsure at first if the investment of a videographer is worth it, but it absolutely is! I was also worried if the videographers would be in the way, but I hardly knew they were there. From the very first contact with Oak City Films, I knew this would be a great experience. The planning was effortless. Nathan met with us and genuinely took the time to get to know us. When we left the meeting, we knew our wedding video would be awesome! At first I was skeptical about having a wedding video made because I had this mental image of the old-fashioned, home made wedding video, taken by your drunk cousin with his $50 video recorder. My maid of honor talked me into thinking about hiring a professional videographer, and wow, am I grateful that she did!

My wedding planner recommended Oak City Films. Ashley and Nathan showed up on time and on location. They were both friendly and very professional; they managed to capture all those little special moments without being intrusive. I also had a couple professional photographers there from a different company, and Ashley and Nathan worked with/around them seamlessly and without issue. I didn’t give them any guidelines, but I know they would be receptive to any specific things that a client wants or doesn’t want in their video.

Our final product is breathtaking. I cried (again) and so have many of our family and friends. I cannot give enough praise — if you go with Oak City Films, you won’t regret it!

Since we live in California, Nathan met with my mom to get a feel for what our vision was for the wedding. He responded immediately to any worries or requests we made and he made the whole process fun. In addition to the wedding video, he made a “love story” video before the wedding. We came in from California just a few days before the wedding. Nathan met with us to film the video the day after we arrived and had it ready for us to share with our family at the rehearsal dinner two days later! It was amazing! We now have our finished video from our wedding day and I cannot describe how wonderful it is. Nathan captured everything beautifully. My brother is in the Army and he is deployed in Jordan now so he could not attend our wedding. It was so nice to be able to share our day with him in a way that photos just cannot capture. As amazing as the video is right now, I know it will become a treasured keepsake that will only become more precious as the years go by. The hardest part of planning a wedding is trying to find the perfect venue, the perfect dress, the perfect cake, the perfect videographer and the list goes on! I’m getting dizzy just thinking about it!! My fiance & I searched for some time for the perfect videographer. We wanted someone who was passionate about their art, who wanted to get to know us & our story, and who we felt could confidently convey that in a video. We didn’t just want to be one of many wedding couples on their list! Our expectations were high & at the last minute, we found Nathan at Oak City Films! From the start, Nathan was professional, smart, & precise about his art. He knew how to listen for what made our love special & paid close attention to what we wanted. Sometimes when you meet a vendor, you’re not sure if they can pull off your vision, but his consultation made all of our worries go away. He was thorough & made sure to keep in contact with us along the way. He made a point to be a part of major meetings at the venue, so that he could scope out good shots & meet everyone who would be involved in our wedding. During the event he was in all the right places to capture the right shots, but he was never “in the way”. When the video came in the mail soon after the ceremony, I was at a loss for words at how great it was!! He somehow captured the essence of our love & the joy of our family and friends & conveyed that so effortlessly and poetically. It was AMAZING! I can’t stop watching the film & it brings me to tears every time. There’s just something so special about it. Nathan just sent us our wedding video last night and I’ve already watched it at least 20 times! His work is incredible, he stayed with us the whole day to make sure he got the perfect shots, and the music he picked for the video perfectly set the tone.
