Chris and Sammi are the perfect couple. Full of energy (or maybe it’s “passion”), full of life, and some of the most genuinely loving people you might ever meet. So it’s no surprise that Ashley and I had a phenomenal time filming their 3 (count ’em…3) ceremony wedding. We started out on Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner/Chinese ceremony, followed the next day by a beautiful wedding day at North Ridge Country Club. While you might have seen a Chinese ceremony in a previous posting, this was our first Korean ceremony wedding complete with traditional costumes and a lot of parental shenanigans :). A phenomenal couple and two very sweet families.
Chi and Thuy’s wedding was a beautiful day of multiple cultures blending into one. We started the day with a traditional Vietnamese ceremony followed by a traditional with each of their families. We then traveled to Raleigh where the usual western style ceremony was held with more friends and family followed by an incredible reception and an elaborate 9 course meal.
During the reception we were treated to a “surprise” break dance battle featuring the groom (Chi) and his crew from his college days which was definitely a unique and very personal touch to their day.
Ashley and I were really looking forward to Anna and Kevin’s wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation as it was our first wedding in Charleston and our second wedding with this family. The day began down on the battery in Charleston with their wedding ceremony following at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian church. Anna and Kevin had a passionate and faith filled ceremony. To echo the pastor, we hope that Anna and Kevin look back on their wedding day in 50 years and see it as the best decision they ever made — because we certainly think it was!
