Weddings at The Rand-Bryan House
Kristen and Steve’s day started at St. Francis of Assisi for a Catholic service in Raleigh, NC followed by a beautiful summer day reception at the Rand Bryan House coordinated and designed by the amazing Amy Wurster of Knots N’ Such Events and Design.
We enjoyed collaborating with Tara Parker Photography and Mike Biddle at Morse Entertainment kept the dance floor absolutely packed the entire evening.
The Rand-Bryan House is a popular wedding venue in the Raleigh area with an interesting history. Built in 1871, it began as 3000 acres of farmland. Through the years, the land was sold off until the original house and surrounding land was bought by the Bryan family. They recognized the beauty they had acquired and wanted to share that beauty with the community around them. While they turned the land into a dairy farm to support themselves, they also allowed their neighbors to hold special events there to make their events memorable and keep the beauty of the land alive.
The current owner, Martha Bryan Liles, holds those memories of her childhood close to her heart and keeps to the traditions started by her parents. When restoring the Rand home in 2009, she used the same authentic craftsmanship that had built the house centuries ago and bringing the building back to it’s original glory. Today, the Rand-Bryan house is host to many weddings as well as a Christmas Tree farm on the land that families look forward to each holiday.
